John Lechner - Stories

Besides my book A Froggy Fable, I have also created many other stories, films, interactive games and fun stuff. Much of my work has been created for FableVision, a media company founded by author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds. Peter and I have been collaborating for almost ten years, and we both share a love of storytelling and fables.

Sticky Burr
A comic tale of mischief and mirth, soon to be a book!

An online story about an ordinary stick who discovers his voice.

Mr. Moon
My first animated film, about a little girl who sings to the moon and dreams of an enchanted wood. Music by my sister Amy Conley.

Cosmic Lobsters
A short minisode about lobsters from outer space, who are looking for a better life, while being pursued by the evil Octopod.

Sticky Burr Theme Song
This animated song was a collaboration with my brother Tony Lechner, and can be found on the Sticky Burr website.

He Was Me
I collaborated on this film with Peter H. Reynolds, who wrote the story and drew the pictures. It's a story about the inner child in us all.

Pirate Treasure Hunt
One of my early interactive games, which I designed and programmed. The object is to find the golden pineapples.

Sticky Burr's Fantastic Flying Game
Sticky Burr and his pal Draffle try to navigate tricky terrain in this flying game, which I designed and programmed.
